Grantham, PA - Messiah College defeats Waynesburg University tonight in Brubaker Auditorium. Final score of the match was 26-9, ending with a pin from junior
Charles Jones.

Jake English helped the team with a 3-2 decision, a big momentum boost for the team.
The team got off to a slow start, going down 6-0 after the first two matches. The second of the two being somewhat surprising for junior
Kyle Coblentz, in that he just won the 133-pound weight class at the Empire Conference Championships last weekend.
Sophomore
Kaleb Loht got the team scoring points though, his bout included five takedowns and two near falls, giving them four points with a major decision.
Junior
Chris Williamson also had a good match, coming just one point shy of getting the major decision.
Keeping the points coming was sophomore
Jake English in his 3-2 decision. This one came down to the wire though, with most of the match tied at two. His match kept the momentum on the side of the Falcons.
Junior
Ricardo Plummer ended his match in exciting fashion. Although he was about to win with the score at 3-1, he just got in a takedown at the end to make it 5-1.
The second major decision of the night came from freshman
Josh Thomson, still ranked 6
th in the nation for the 184-pounders in Division III. Cody Catalina of Waynesburg gave him a fight but Thomson still came out on top 12-4.
The final bout of the night was a good note to end on for the team. Junior
Charles Jones got the pin on Marty Kisla just 1:10 into the match, securing the team's final six points.
The Falcons will compete again tomorrow in the Messiah Open. It is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., in Hitchcock Arena.
