Messiah's All-Time Conference Honors

Annville, PA – The Messiah College women's volleyball team was awarded with four All-Commonwealth performers for the 2013 season. Jessica Geib led the way with her fourth selection, including her second in a row on the First Team.
 
Allison Hill received her second All-Commonwealth award in her career as a Second- eam member for the libero position. Also receiving Second Team honors was outside-hitter Kristen Douglas.

 
Last, but not least, outside-hitter Jane Underman was recognized on the Honorable Mention team.
 
Geib has been an anchor on the Falcons' squad since her first year starting as a freshman. She has played in at least 100 sets every year and currently has a career assist total of 3,904. She recently reached 1,000 assists for the second-straight season with the win over Lebanon Valley in the conference semifinal.
 
Also reaching a 1,000 mark in that game was Hill, her category being career digs. Her total of 27 puts her at 408 for the season and 1,003 for her career. Last season, Hill was awarded with Honorable Mention honors, also as a libero.
 
Along with Hill on the Second Team is freshman hitter Douglas, who currently sits at 310 kills for the season. She has hit 3.16 kills per set and has a hitting percentage of .205. Douglas has also been impactful from the service line with 48 service aces, and the defense with 365 digs.
 
Underman has also made a huge impact on the team this year, collecting 305 kills. Although she has not played the full rotation, she has hit 2.99 kills per set and has a .198 hitting percentage. Along with the Honorable Mention honors, Underman was selected most recently as a Commonwealth Player of the Week.
 
Player of the Year honors went to Jessica Gieselman of Stevenson for the second-straight year. Stevenson's Dave Trumbo was named Coach of the Year.
