Kelly Hopkins named Commonwealth Rookie of the Year and
Jon Arosell took home Coach of the Year honors to lead four All-Commonwealth honors for the Falcons.
Ashli Livermore and Hopkins were named First Team All-Commonwealth, and
Jennifer Kitlan was named Honorable Mention.
Hopkins is the third Rookie of the Year for Messiah in three seasons (Molly Brubaker, Livermore). She collected a 3-1 record in conference this season, and went 6-5 overall across a challenging Messiah schedule. Hopkins also partnered with Livermore at No. 1 doubles and collected an 8-4 mark.
Livermore, last season's Rookie of the Year, went 10-3 this season at No. 1 singles, including 5-1 in the Commonwealth. She finished this season with six-straight wins, including the lone win in Messiah's Commonwealth Semifinal loss on Wednesday at Alvernia.
Jennifer Kitlan's All-Commonwealth honor is the first of her career. She went 8-5 overall this season, including 4-2 in the Commonwealth. Across her four seasons Kitlan went 13-10 in conference play.
The Coach of the Year honor for Arosell is his first on the women's side, and his third overall (including a COY honor for the men this season). He is in his fourth season with Messiah.
