Baltimore, MD - Messiah College women's lacrosse was honored in a special way this week as goalie

Claire Stikeleather were both named All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The duo are the first pair of Falcons to collect the honor in the same season since Rachel Coyle and Rachel Dirksen did so in 2012.
Dipeso was named to the All-American Second Team, and Stikeleather was on the Third Team.
Stikeleather led the Falcons with 59 points with career-high totals in both goals (43) and assists (16). She was also a First Team All-Commonwealth selection for the third time in as many seasons. The dynamic midfielder picked up a Second Team All-Metro Region honor last season before earning a First Team election this season. At the conclusion of her junior season Stikeleather has become one of the most decorated players in program history, with three All-Commonwealth honors, two All-Region honors, and now an All-American accolade.

Dipeso was a First Team selection in her first season with Messiah, and she is the first goalie in program history to earn an All-American selection. She is also just the third different goalie to earn All-Region honors for the Falcons, and she did so by way of an impressive 7.72 goals against average and .477 save percentage.
Dipeso burst onto the scene for Messiah by collecting 10-plus saves in six of her first eight games. She also allowed double-digit goals in just seven contests this season, and had a nine game stretch of not allowing more than eight goals. She earned First Team All-Commonwealth this year.
Along with 2012, Messiah also received two All-Americans in the same season in 2006, when both Megan Duke and Erin Gallagher were honored with Third Team nods.
This season Messiah finished 14-5, won the Commonwealth Championship, and advanced into the NCAA Championships Tournament for the fifth time in program history.
