Hall of HonorGrantham, PA – Last Friday Messiah College Athletics inducted Chris Roggie, Danae (Chambers) Hollenbach, and Hannah (Levesque) Leatherman into the Messiah Hall of Honor.
Â
Over 100 guests gathered in Hostetter Chapel to commemorate and celebrate the impact that these three athletes have made on their programs and Messiah Athletics.
Â
"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate these three individuals," Messiah Director of Athletics
Jack Cole said. "Each year it gets harder and harder to select just three or four honorees, but Chris, Danae, and Hannah's accomplishments really stood out, and we're excited to have them included in the Hall of Honor."
Â
The evening also included the recognition of this year's Senior Scholar-Athletes finalists. The honor celebrates a male and female finalist from each the fall, winter, and spring seasons and after the 2016 spring season, a male and female winner will be chosen as the Senior Scholar-Athletes of the year.
Â
The Senior Scholar-Athletes were announced and recognized by Messiah's Vice Provost and Dean of Students, Dr. Kris Hansen-Kieffer. Information on the finalists can be found
here.
Â
After the Senior Scholar-Athletes were honored, each of the Hall of Honor inductees were invited to the podium to speak on their experience as a Messiah student-athlete.
