GRANTHAM, Pa. – On the eve of Homecoming Day 2017, Messiah Athletics announced the newest induction class for the Falcons' Hall of Honor. For the second-straight year four inductees were tabbed for the celebration: Nikki (Lobach) Horanburg '08, David McClellan '06, Cindy Toms '97, and Neil Turner.

"Each year we have the opportunity to recognize outstanding alumni student-athletes, coaches, and administrators, and to celebrate their tremendous contributions to Messiah Athletics," said Executive Director of Athletics
Jack Cole. "This year we have the privilege to do that once again, and the four inductees for the class of 2018 make for a terrific group."

Below is a quick bio on each of the respective inductees.
Nikki (Lobach) Horanburg '08 – Women's Basketball
Nikki played just three full seasons for Messiah but completed one of the most accomplished and decorated careers in program history. She was named a WBCA First Team All-American in 2007 and 2008, and in 2008 she led Messiah to a 30-3 record and finish as the National Runner-Up. Nikki was the Conference Player of the Year in both 2007 and 2008, and she was a part of conference champion teams in each of her three full seasons. Her 16.6 points per game average is first all-time in program history, and she is sixth all-time in career points with 1,378. Her 570 points during the 2007-08 campaign is tied with fellow alumni Jamie Noble '85 for the most in program history.

David McClellan '06 – Men's Soccer
David was a two-time NSCAA All-American for the Falcons, and was a member of three NCAA Division III National Championships teams—2003, 2004, and 2005. He was named the National Player of the Year in 2005 after collecting 20 goals and six assists to lead the Falcons to a third-straight NCAA title, and he was also named the All-Conference in both 2004 and 2005. In 2004 David was named the Conference Player of the Year. Currently, David is fourth all-time in program history in single-season goals (25; 2004), fifth in single-season points (57; 2004), tied for ninth in career points (126) and 10th in career goals (52).

Cindy Toms '97 – Field Hockey
Cindy completed a decorated career with the Falcons in 1997, one that saw her participate with her team in four NCAA Tournaments. She was a part of the 1994 Final Four team and the 1995 National Finalist team, and she was also named NCAA All-Tournament Team in 1995. Cindy was named First Team All-American in 1994, 1995, and 1996, and was the Conference Player of the Year in 1994 and 1996. She was also the Conference Rookie of the Year in 1993. Currently, Cindy is fifth all-time in program history in goals scored (71) and tied for fourth all-time in career points (174).

Neil Turner – Wrestling Head Coach
Neil led the Falcons for 12 seasons and experienced impressive levels of success that included Messiah's first-ever NCAA Division III National Champion (Mike Helm), 10 NCAA All-Americans, and 63 All-Conference performers. His 131 wins is second all-time behind current head coach
Bryan Brunk (184) though his win percentage of .652 is first among the five coaches in the 46-year history of Messiah wrestling. His teams finished in the NCAA Top-20 on three separate occasions, foreshadowing the current-day success on the national stage. In 2004 Neil was also inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame through the Pennsylvania Chapter, as he was recognized with the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award, given "in recognition of years of dedication and development of leadership and citizenship in the youth through the sport of wrestling."
