GRANTHAM, Pa. – No. 5 Messiah wrestling defeated King's on Saturday afternoon by a 35-12 score to secure both their fourth win of the season and second victory in less than 18 hours. The Falcons, who won at Gettysburg last night, moved to 4-2 on the year.

Back and Forth Beginning
Messiah was on their away to a strong start behind Sean Redington (125), but his 8-2 lead in the second period was erased in sudden fashion when Dakota Quick lived up to his namesake with a sudden shot and pin. Despite forfeiting at 133, King's kept momentum behind Jacob Taylor at 141. He squared off with Hunter Harris, who moved up a class, and came away with a 6-4 decision.

The two losses across the first three bouts had Messiah trailing 9-6, but Nick Nunez righted the ship with a pin of his own at 149. It was his second win in as many days following his sudden victory decision at Gettysburg last night.

To Peris, With Love
The loudest ovation for Messiah went to senior Adam Peris, who earned a fall at 157 in his final career match. Peris, an engineering major with an 11-3 record this season, is set to graduate this month and completes his career with a 58-47 record. Today's pin was the 18th of his career.

Winning Streak
The Falcons secured the win with six-straight wins starting with Nunez's fall. His pin was also the first of four-straight pins, with Kevin Edwards (174) completing that run after just 54 seconds.

The four pins for Messiah was their most in a dual meet this season.

The Falcons will be off until next Saturday, Dec. 16, when they travel to Lock Haven University to take on both the host Bald Eagles and Wheeling Jesuit.
