GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Messiah multi invitational concluded today and Messiah athletes
Taylor Wiederrecht and
Aaron Gray both finished in first place for the Falcons. Wiederrecht finished with a total of 4,380 points, a new personal best record and the finish will have her ranked in the top nine nationally. She earned a PR in the javelin (27.98), ran the 800 meter run in 2:30.32, and had a mark of 4.99m in the long jump.
Aaron Gray collected a total of 5,788 points, a personal record for him in this event and had a PR in the discus (36.96), made a throw of 38.90m in the javein, ran the 110 hurdles in 15.99 seconds, the 1500 in 5:30.43, and finally cleared a mark of 4.20m in the pole vault. Very strong performances by these two athletes and all of the Falcons as a whole.Â
The track & field teams will be in action tomorrow for the Messiah Invitational with competition beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Women
- Rachael Romain finished in fifth place overall with 3,515 points with a run of 2:42.14 in the 800, had a throw of 15.98m in the javelin, and a jump of 4.80m in the long jump.
- Hannah Reed came in ninth place with a total of 2,622 points by running the 800 meter run in 3:00.45, jumped a 4.18m in the long jump, and had a throw of 21.39m in the javelin.
Men
- Caleb Puleo came in fourth place with a total of 5,171 points. He had a PR in the pole vault clearing a mark of 3.40m and the other marks he set were strong as well. Puleo ran the 1500 in 4:56.19, had a throw of 19.13 in the discus, ran the 110 hurldes in 18.33 seconds, and threw the javelin 42.30m.Â
- Christian Pavlovich finished in eighth place with 4,428 points. He ran the 110 hurdles in 20.33 seconds which was a PR for him beating his old mark of 20.34 by one second, had a throw of 29.82m in the discus, 54.86m in the javelin, and cleared 2.80m in the pole vault.
- Erik Dyrli competed in the men's open discus and placed eighth place with a throw of 38.13 meters.

Women
- As aforementioned Taylor Wiederrecht is currently in first place by having a strong performance in all of the events. She set some personal records in the 100 hurdles (16.67 seconds), shot put (10.37m), and 200 meter run (26.42 seconds) and also had a good showing in the high jump with a mark of 1.61m.
- Rachael Romain is currently in fourth place with a total of 2,245 points. She also had three PR's on the day including the 100 hurdles (17.33 seconds), shot put (8.17m), and 200 meter run (27.57). Romain was just shy of her PR in the high jump with a mark of 1.49m (her personal best is 1.50m).
- The final competitor for the women is Hannah Reed who is in ninth with 1,596 after day one. Just a freshman Reed set some good marks overall, in the 100 hurdles she finished in 20.79 seconds, had throw of 9.40m in the shot put, ran a 30.51 in the 200, and jumped 1.31 in the high jump.
Men
- As stated Aaron Gray is in first place after day one having collected 2,955 points. Gray hit some good marks today including a PR in the long jump (6.17m) and tied his personal best in the high jump with a mark of 1.73m. He finished the 100 meter run in 11.80 seconds, the 400 meter run in 56.81 seconds, and had a throw of 10.95m in the shot put.
- Caleb Puleo is in third place after collecting 2,896 points on day one. Puleo had a PR in the shot put with a mark of 10.30m. He ran the 100 meters in 11.67 seconds, the 400 meters in 53.50 seconds, cleared a mark of 1.64m in the high jump, and achieved a distance of 5.68m in the long jump.
- The final competitor for Messiah, Christian Pavlovich, is in sixth place with a total of 2,673 points. He ran the 100 meter run in 11.89 seconds and had personal best in the 400 meters finishing in 55.67 seconds. Pavlovich jumped a mark of 5.72 in the long jump, made a throw of 9.37m in the shot put, and cleared 1.58m in the high jump.
