BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Falcons finished the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championship in eighth place out of 49 teams. Messiah finished as the second-best team in the conference, finishing just nine points behind seventh place Misericordia. The Falcons had four of their top-five runners finish in the top-100 out of 349 competitors with Leanne Weaver and Sarah Codd both earning All-Region honors. Weaver finished the 6k in 18th place with a time of 22:21.9 while Codd came through in 22:34.4 to take 27th place. 

In the Results
As mentioned, Leanne Weaver and Sarah Codd led the way for Messiah today. Weaver highlighted the Falcons' efforts with an 18th-place finish, finishing the 6k in 22:21.9. Weaver finished the first mile in 5:54.2 and came through the two mile split in 11:56.3. Weaver completed the day with an average mile time of 5:59.8. Sarah Codd was the next Falcon to complete the course, coming through the line in 22:34.4. Codd averaged a 6:03.1 mile, coming through the first mile split in 6:02.2 and the two mile split in 12:09.2. The pair earned All-Region honors for their efforts, finishing in the top-35. 

Freshman Joy Galbraith (23:02.9) was the next Falcon to finish the race, averaging a 6:10.7 mile. Galbraith went through the first mile split in 6:04.9 and slightly slowed down going into the second mile split (12:18.0). Galbraith fought her way to the finish, dropping seven places from the two mile split to finish in 52nd place. 

Cera Gaston and Maddison Landis finished as a pair, just one second off of each other. Gaston earned the edge, coming through the finish line in 23:53.9 while Landis finished in 23:54.9. Gaston's time put her in 101st place while Landis' time gave her a 104th place finish. Ashlyn Stonge was right behind the duo, finishing in 107th place with a time of 23:57.6. Closing out the Falcons' efforts on the day was freshman Teddi Powell, finishing in 117th place (24:01.8) to wrap up Messiah's outing at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship.
