A highly decorated track and field athlete, Amy (Reed) Stead enters the Messiah Hall of Honor as an NCAA Champion in the Heptathlon in 2008 and a three-time All-American in the Heptathlon (2006, '07, and '08) and a two-time All-American in the Javelin (2007 and '08). Her lengthy list of accolades includes MAC Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year and US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Women's Field Athlete of the Year in the Mideast Region in each of her final three season in Grantham. Following her performance at the 2008 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Amy was named the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
 
At the time of her induction, Reed appears seven times on the Messiah outdoor track and field top-ten lists and holds the program record in the Heptathlon (5111, 2018) and Javelin (New – 152'11", 2007). Amy was also a member of the Messiah women's basketball that finished the 2008 season as the National Runner-Up. In her basketball career, she played in 118 games averaging 6.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
