Chris Boyles – Men’s Track & Field (1998-2002)
Considered one of the most accomplished student-athletes in the history of the Falcons, Chris was an NCAA Division III National Champion in the 2002 Decathlon while earning All-American status eight total times across the indoor and outdoor High Jump, 55-meter High Hurdles, and the Decathlon. At the time of his graduation he was listed in 13 different Top-10 lists for Messiah Track & Field, and at the time of his induction remained the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship record holder in the indoor and outdoor High Jump. Upon induction, he also ranked first all-time for Messiah in the Decathlon, indoor and outdoor High Jump, indoor Pentathlon, and indoor 55-meter Hurdles. A two-time MAC Track & Field Athlete of the Year, he was named the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Athlete of the Year his senior season. He also set the standard for post-Messiah athletic achievement; Chris was an Olympic Trials Finalist in 2004 and 2008, and was ranked 14th in the world in the Decathlon in 2007. An outstanding two-sport athlete, Chris was also a National Champion in men’s soccer, earning three All-Conference awards and an NSCAA All-American honor in his four years as a goalkeeper on the pitch.
