David was a two-time NSCAA First Team All-American for the Falcons, and was a member of three NCAA Division III National Championships teams—2002, 2004, and 2005. He was named the National Player of the Year in 2005 after collecting 20 goals and six assists to lead the Falcons to a third-straight NCAA title, and he was also named both All-Conference and All-Region in both 2004 and 2005. In 2004 David was named the Conference Player of the Year after tallying 25 goals and seven assists.
At the time of his induction, David was fourth all-time in program history in single-season goals (25; 2004), fifth in single-season points (57; 2004), 10th in career goals (52), and tied for second in career game-winners (20). He is also just one of five players to collect at least 10 game-winners in a single season, doing so in 2005 with 10 such goals.
