In 2014, Loht had a dominant season, going undefeated against Division III opponents, with a 48-1 overall record. Loht helped the Falcons win their first MAC Championship and just the second conference championship in program history. Also, the Falcons finished with their best team total to that point in the NCAA Championships with a third-place finish.

Loht also was a force in the classroom being named a CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2014 and being named NWCA Scholar All-American three times. Along with his academic accomplishments, Loht is also featured all over the Messiah wrestling program record book.
