A two-time All-American and four-time conference champion, Kelly Kegarise was one of the most talented – and dedicated – track and field athletes to ever come through Messiah’s program. Her career best outdoor long jump of 18 feet, 6 inches remains as the school-record mark at the time of her induction, as does her time of 7.4 seconds in the indoor 60-yard dash. Kelly earned her All-American honors as a sophomore in the long jump and as a member of the team’s 1600-meter relay team as a senior. At the time of her graduation, Kelly held two outdoor records and three indoor records, while her name still appears eight different times in the program’s All-Time Top 10 lists in outdoor track and field. Kelly was a three-time conference champion in the long jump and also a league champ in the triple jump, competing against 17 other conference institutions during that time.
