Robert had an exceptional career on the basketball court in the mid-1970’s. As a freshman, he averaged 10.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, and his scoring and rebounding climbed the next two years, averaging 19.8 and 19.0 ppg, respectively. During his senior season, when he was named NCCAA first-team All-American, Bob led the Falcons with a 23.0 ppg scoring average and 5.9 rebound average, and he had his best season in field goal (.493) and free throw percentage (.855). In addition, he made 20 field goals in a game. At the time of his induction into the Falcon Club Hall of Honor, Bob was second on Messiah’s career scoring list, with 1,922 points, and seventh in career rebounds, with 616.
