Grantham, PA - Join Hands 2 Feet on Saturday, February 18, as they seek to collect 300 pairs of used athletic shoes to be given to international sports ministry groups!
The shoes, collected during the women's (2:00 p.m.) and men's (4:00 p.m.) basketball games on Saturday, will be given to Push the Rock, a ministry group that will deliver them to foreign countries including Spain, England, Costa Rica, Italy, Zambia, and the Czech Republic.
To date, Hands 2 Feet has collected close to 150 pairs of shoes-- with the main collection date being Saturday.
Fans and community members are encouraged to bring a pair of gently-used shoes to the Commons where they can be donated.
What is Hands To Feet?
Hands 2 Feet is a student lead organization run by Messiah College student-athletes who feel called by Christ to give those less fortunate an opportunity to own shoes in order to participate in sports. As Christian student-athletes they feel led to give to others in this meaningful way.
Hands 2 Feet also accepts donations of gently-used athletic wear such as jerseys, warm-ups, and sport-specific pants or shorts.
In the future, Hands 2 Feet also plans to serve through local missional opportunities.
