Â
The men placed first in 10 of the 11 events and in the one event they didn't win (100 freestyle) they placed second through fourth.
Daniel Jessen,
Daniel Wingert,
Nick Wieder, and
Nate Brown started the evening off strong with a first-place finish (3:48.08) in the 400 yard medley relay. Jessen and Brown then joined
Chad Alshouse and
Ryan Shields in the final event of the evening for another first-place finish (1:32.69) in the 200 freestyle relay.
Â
Alshouse,
Aaron Eckman, and
Duncan McDermond finished first through third, respectively, in the 200 freestyle, and were soon followed by Brown and
Phil Rodo taking first and second, too, in the 50 freestyle.
Â
The Falcons' dominance continued to the end, including Alshouse and
Luke Sagaser finishing first and second, respectively, in the 100 butterfly.
Â
The women were almost as dominant, though they won only nine of the 11 events. Still, the Falcons were everywhere in the results.
Caitlin Magaw, Gaby Brubaker,
Laura Penwell, and
Hanna Schaffer took first in the 400 (4:22.57) medley relay.

Lauren Clune and Magaw finished at the top of the 200 IM.
Â
Hanna Schaffer (100 freestyle), Freeman (100 backstroke), and Reale (500 freestyle) kept the momentum moving with more first-place finishes. Clune,
Renee Ormond,
Lydia Ellsworth, and
Cassie Forman finished the evening with a leading time (1:49.70) in the 200 freestyle relay.
Â
Though neither team managed to break any records, the match-ups allowed for a number of swimmers to gain experience in events outside their norm.
Â
The Falcons will hope to ride the momentum of these wins into strong performances on Saturday, Nov. 16 when they travel to Reading, Pa. for meet with rival Albright College. Â
