Grantham, PA – A battle of unbeaten NCAA Division III men's soccer teams is set for Shoemaker Field on Saturday, as No. 1 Messiah College will host No. 10 Montclair State University at 7:00 p.m.* The game will be featured as the
NSCAATV.com "Game of the Week," an event routinely reserved for Division I matches.
Â
*Messiah is also ranked No. 1 in the D3Soccer.com Top 25; Montclair is ranked No. 3.
Â
The teams will enter the game with identical 7-0-0 records and will meet for the first time since the Falcons took a 2-1 decision in overtime over the Red Hawks in the Second Round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
Â
Prior to that game in 2010, the Falcons and Red Hawks have met three other times, with Messiah winning each match (see below for head-to-head results).
Â
The Red Hawks have qualified for seven-straight NCAA Tournaments, including a run to the national semifinals in 2011. Messiah, the defending national champion, has played in 16-straight NCAA Tournaments and has won nine titles since 2000.
