Falcons Show Well in Season's First Quad

Grantham, PA - Messiah women's swimming raced well Saturday in the season's first quad meet. They won all three match-ups with visiting Widener, Hood, and FDU-Florham.

In the first event of the day the women finished first in the 200-yard medley relay. Caitlin Magaw, Emily Reale, Laura Penwell, and Tara Freeman finished with a time of 1:54.09.
 
In the 200-yard freestyle Katie Wingert finished in first with a time of 1:59.52. Tara Freeman won the 50-yard and 100-yard freestly with times of 25.01 and 54.54 who finished with a time of 25.01.
 
Messiah had another first place finish in the 100 yard butterfly as Renee Ormond finished in 1:02.07. Other first place finishers include Caitlin Magaw (100-yard backstroke), Katie Wingert (500-yard freestyle), and Sarah Woods (100-yard breaststroke).
 
The Falcons will be back in action November 12, when they take on York College of Pennsylvania at Messiah.
