ResultsCollegeville, PA – Messiah men's and women's track & field officially started their new indoor season by competing at the Bow-Tie Classic todat at Ursinus College.
Trevor Stutzman highlighted the Falcons' performances with a first-place showing in the shot put. Stutzman threw 17.36 meters (56'11.5").

Stutzman was just one of many Falcons to impress in the field events.
Tim Moses also took first in the pole vault, clearing 4.95 meteres (16'2.75"). The mark was a new Indoor best for Moses, and tied his best-ever mark set last Outdoor season.

Megan Renes was also strong in the pole vault for the women. She cleared 2.59 meters (8'6"), good for fourth place on the afternoon.

Marie Johnson continued the strong showings in the field, taking sixth in the high jump (4'11.25") and 10th in the long jump (14'9.25").
Hadlee Coker took 10th in the high jump, leaping 4'9.75".

On the track the Falcons were also impressive.
Jared Schatz (15:45.32) and
Tyler Sensenig (15:47.61) followed up their All-Region cross country seasons with second- and third-place finishes in the 5000 meter run, respectively. On the women's side,
Alissa Rogers (19:59.11) took seventh and
Emma Barbagallo (20:01.30) took ninth.

In the 3000 meter run the men took four of the top 10 places, led by
Christopher Scheib (9:22.18) in sixth.
Natalie Ross led three Falcons in the top 14 with a time of 11:40.00.

Jonphilip McGill was the lone Falcon to finish in the top 10 on either side, taking sixth with a time of 4:38.82.

Brady Miller (1:09.49) and
Nicholas White (1:09.79) had strong showings in the 500 meter dash, taking sixth and 10
th place, respectively.
Tiffany Burrows was also strong in the 400 meter dash, taking ninth place with a time of 1:04.52.

Messiah also performed well in the 60 meter hurdles, as
Nicholas White (8.69) took third and
Kristen Frawley (10.11) took fifth, respectively.

Now with their first weekend under their wings, the Falcons will take off until Jan. 16 when they will travel to Susquehanna University for the Orange and Maroon Classic.
