Delaware, OH - What a month it's been for Tim Moses. The Falcons first-year pole vaulter qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships on the final day of the regular-season and then earned an All-American finish with a season-best jump of 4.95m (16'3"). The vault placed Moses fifth at the National Final-- one spot better than his All-American finish in the event at the Indoor Championships earlier this season.

Moses faulted all three times in his attempts to clear 5.00m; his lifetime-best mark is 5.00m from high school, making Thursday's jump a college personal record. He cleared both 4.85m and 4.90m on his first attempts. He then cleared his final height on his second attempt, joining four others.

Following Moses' finish in the pole vault, Liz Martin ran her way to a spot in the finals of the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.37 in the prelims. The mark is her second-best all time and was fourth-best in her heat. Martin ran in the first of three heats and thus had to wait to see how the competition did before knowing if she qualified.

Three runners finished with a faster time than Martin in the second heat, which meant if two more runners beat her time, she would miss the finals. Fortunately, only the top runner from heat three beat Martin's time, putting her in the 8th spot for the finals. The finals will take place on Saturday, May 24, at 4:00 p.m.
