Grantham, PA - After falling behind early to the Gettysburg Bullets the Messiah Falcons rebounded to cruise to a 37-9 final on Friday evening. Pins from

At 125 pounds
Marshall Myers lost a hard fought match to Noah Malamut 6-5. The deciding point of the match was off of a minute and nine seconds of riding time by Malamut to earn the decision. The Falcons lost another one point decision at 133 pounds by a score of 7-6.
With the Falcons trailing 6-0,
Hunter Harris threw his opponent to his back and captured a one minute fall to tie the team score at six a piece. No.1
Kaleb Loht bumped up a weight class from 141 to 149 pounds and earned a fall in four minutes and eight seconds. The victory was Loht's 136th win of his career, and only trails Messiah's all-time wins leader Andy Vogel - Gettysburg's current head coach- by 21 wins.
Messiah dropped at 7-1 decision at 157 pounds.
Ben Wise put the Falcons back in the win column with a 10-1 major decision. Wise perfected four takedowns en route to the major decision.

Josh Thomson won by fall in four minutes and nine seconds at 174 pounds over Shahn Savino. Thomson earned a quick takedown in the first period and hit a tilt from the top position to grab three near fall points to end the first period. During the second period, Thomson tightened up another tilt and earned the fall.
At 184 pounds
Ben Swarr looked impressive coming off injury and dominated his opponent by an 18-2 technical fall in four minutes and four seconds. Swarr came out fast lifting his opponent into the air and slamming him to the mat with authority to earn the early takedown. Swarr hit multiple takedowns and captured near fall points in the rest of the bout to complete the technical fall.
Messiah won by forfeit at 197 pounds and
Jason Wright won by a 10-0 major decision at 285 pounds and gave the Falcons a 37-9 victory. Wright was held scoreless in the first period until he assumed the top position during the second period, and scored near fall points off of multiple turns.
The Falcons will next take the mat Saturday morning when they take on Washington & Jefferson College, Waynesburg University, and Heidelberg University in the East-West Duals held at Messiah College.
