The women started off strong against Gettysburg and Susquehanna by taking first-place in three of the first five events. The Bullets and Falcons were neck-in-neck the entire afternoon before the Bullets edged the Falcons at the end by 3 points for the win. Kaitlin Wingert lead the Falcon fight with four first-place wins (200 free, 100 free, 200 IM, 200 free relay), but the Falcons' win in the 200 free relay and Wingert's huge anchor swim (24.48) just wasn't enough to defeat the Bullets. Two other Falcons tallied to keep Messiah in the meet with big first-place finishes: Joelle Williamson in the 100 backstroke (1:01.27) and Tara Freeman in the 50 freestyle (24.89) and 100 butterfly (59.11).

On the men's side, Aaron Eckman had another solid meet with top finish in the 1000 freestyle (10:29.60). Along with Eckman, Dakota Schmalz grabbed a first place spot with his 200 butterfly (1:59.24) swim. Kurtis Platteel (26.72), David Patawaran (28.25), Phil Rodo (24.97), and Nolan McArdle 's (22.24) swim in the 200 medley relay earned them a second-place finish in their heat.

The Falcons are on the road again next Saturday, Nov. 12 against their conference foe Albright College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm.
