ResultsReading, PA - Messiah College traveled to Albright College on Saturday and came away with a split in the pool. The women downed the Lions 205-56 while the men lost a narrow battle, 139-122.
The women mixed up their lineup for almost all the events and still managed to pull away from the start. They won all 14 events and finished 1-2 in 11 of the 14 events overall.

Tara Freeman, and Katie Wingert started the dominance with a 4:05.05 winning time in the 400 medley relay. Freeman (1000 freestyle, 100 freestyle) was one of more than a handful of Falcons to have a terrific afternoon.
On the men's side Albright got off to a great start and Messiah did all they could to rally back and catch up.
Aaron Eckman (10:41.83) and
Jeremy Wakeley (10:46.98) went second and third in the 1000 freestyle, respectively, to get Messiah going in the right direction, and
Nolan McArdle kept the energy up with a 100 backstroke win with a time of 56.60.
Dakota Schmalz (2:01.05) and
Nick Wieder (2:05.94) took the first two spots in the 200 butterfly, but Albright grabbed command late with first- and second-place spots in the 100 butterfly and a first-place spot in the 200 IM.
Messiah will next swim on Dec. 1 when they host Dickinson at 7:00 p.m.
