ResultsGrantham, PA - The Falcons of Messiah College cruised past the Warriors of Lycoming College 195-67 Saturday afternoon. The women's swimming team won an impressive 12 of 14 events against the Warriors.

Messiah defeated Lycoming with seven different swimmers winning events. Katie Wingert led the Falcons with three separate victories in the 1000 yard free (11:25.09), 50 yard free (25.37), and the 100 yard IM (1:05.39).

Tara Freeman had an outstanding day as well by winning the 200 yard free with a time of 2:02.14 and 100 yard free with a time of 55.49.

Joellle Williamson tallied another Falcon victory in the 200 yard back with a time of 2:16.62. Next,
Emily Reale scorched the competition in the 200 yard fly and won with a time of 2:23.07.

Cassie Cotton continued the Falcon winning streak with a victory in the 100 yard back with a time of 1:03.13. In the 100 yard fly, Abigail Gordiany gathered the victory with a time of 1:04.07.

Brittany Pond rounded out the individual winners for the Falcons by winning the 500 yard free with a time of 5:40.57.

In addition, Messiah won two of three relay races. The tandem of
Caitlin Magaw, Abigail Gordiany, Gaby Brubaker, and
Brittany Pond won the 200 yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:57.21 and the foursome of
Caitlin Magaw,
Cassie Cotton,
Molly Martin, and
Emily Reale won the 200 yard free relay with a time of 1:44.60.

The Falcons improve to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference with the victory. Messiah will be back in action when they host a double-dual against King's College (Pa.) and Arcadia University on Jan. 14 starting at 5:00 p.m.
