Princeton, NJ – Jared Schatz etched his name into the Messiah records books in impressive fashion on Friday evening as he took over the No. 1 all-time spot with a 9:19.83 time in the steeplechase. Schatz accomplished the feat at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University.

Schatz's mark broke the 11-year record from Brandon Newbould, 9:24.04. The complete list of the other Top 10 members can be seen here. Schatz's mark was also a vast improvement upon the 9:36.22 he earned last week at the Messiah Invitational.
