Falcons Drop Duals at Gettysburg

Gettysburg, PA – The Messiah men's swim team was defeated on the road this afternoon as they fell to the River Hawks of Susquehanna, 159 to 101, and the Bullets of Gettysburg, 203 to 58.
 
Although the day did not go as the Falcons had hoped, they still received strong performances from multiple people throughout the day. In the first event, the 200 Medley Relay, the team of Kurtis Platteel, Nolan McArdle, Anthony Pompei, and Drew Wolfe had a strong showing finishing third with a time of 1:40.34.
 
Wolfe performed well in the 200 Free taking the second spot with a 1:48.46 time. In the 100 Breaststroke, Nolan McArdle swam well finishing third with a time of 1:03.80.  In the final event of the day, the 400 Free Relay, Wolfe, Jason Maccannon, Pompei, and McArdle swam a 3:23.45 which earned them a fourth place finish.
 
Messiah will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Lycoming College for a Middle Atlantic Conference match up. Meet time is set for 1:00 p.m. in Williamsport, Pa
