Falcons Swim Past Warriors on the Road

Williamsport, PA – The Messiah women's swim team defeated conference opponent Lycoming College on the road this afternoon 158-85. Overall the Falcons finished first in 9 out of 13 events.
 
In the first event, the 200 Medley Relay, the team of Joelle Williamson, Emily Reale, Tara Freeman, and Mikaela Schell finished first with a time of 1:55.13. The other relay of the day, the 200 Free Relay, Kaitlin Wingert, Williamson, Brittany Pond, and Tara freeman took the top spot with a time of 1:41.72.
 
Messiah won all but four individual events on the day. Britta Heath won the 200 Free swimming a time of 2:09.05 while Megan Freeman finished first in the 50 Backstroke with a 32.11 time.
 
In the 100 Butterfly, Wingert placed first (1:00.77) and teammate Leah Williamson placed second with a time of 1:02.25. Emily Reale's finish time of 27.16 in the 50 Free was narrowly edged by Emilie Kramer of Lycoming, who swam a 26.33.
 
Joelle Williamson took the top spot in the 500 Free with a finish time of 5:49.07 and Wingert collected her third first place finish of the day in the 100 Backstroke swimming a 1:05.38.
 
Megan Freeman swam well in the 50 Butterfly taking first with a time of 30.14 and Molly Martin swam an impressive 5:02.88 in the 400 IM.
 
Messiah will be back in action on Tuesday Nov. 29, when they travel to Dickinson College. Meet time is set for 7:00 p.m.
