Grantham, PA – The Messiah College men's swim team was beaten by Dickinson College on the road this evening 137-68. The Falcons placed first in three out of 11 events but the Red Devils finished first in eight events giving them the win.
Even with the defeat, Messiah did receive some strong performances in the meet.
Drew Wolfe took home two first place finishes swimming a 1:46.45 in the 200 Free and a 49.65 in the 100 Free.
In the 200 Medley Relay the team of Kurtis Plateel,
Nolan McArdle,
Anthony Pompei, and
Andrew Leeper finished in second place with a 1:41.96 time. Leeper also picked up a second place finish in the 50 Free swimming a time of 23.23, just 23 seconds behind the leader Travis Lipscomb.
Plateel swam a 57.72 in the 100 Backstroke, which earned him a second place finish and
Nolan McArdle swam a 1:04.53 in the 100 Breaststroke finishing in fourth. In the final event, the 200 Free Relay, the Falcons finished in the top spot with a time of 1:31.58.

The loss drops Messiah 2-5 overall and they will be back in the water this Saturday when they travel to York College to take on the Spartans. Meet time is set for 1:00 p.m.
