Team Scores
Frederick, MD – The Messiah men's swim team had a good showing in their first meet of the season. They were beaten by Widener University 146 to 58 and then narrowly edged by Hood 105 to 99. The win came against FDU-Florham where the Falcons defeated them 153 to 46.
In the first event, the 200 Medley Relay, Kurtis Plateel,
Nolan McArdle,
Andrew Leeper, and
Drew Wolfe took second place with a time of 1:40.18.
Wolfe swam well in the 200 Free finishing second with a 1:48.16 time.
Nolan McArdle picked up the team's lone first place finish taking the top spot in the 100 IM with a time of 55.14.
In the 100 Backstroke, Plateel finished third with a 57.09 and his teammate Wolfe was not far off in fourth with a 57.79 time. In the final event, the 200 Free Relay, the team of
Jason Maccannon,
Anthony Pompei,
Jeremy Wakeley, and
Andrew Leeper finished in third with a time of 1:32.50.
The Falcons are back in action next weekend when they travel to Gettysburg College for a double-dual with Susquehanna University and the host Gettysburg.
