ResultsBethlehem, PA - The women's track & field team traveled to Lehigh University to compete in the MAC Championships this weekend. The women collected eight medals on the weekend, and placed third in the final standings.Â

Saturday's ResultsComing off of great times in yesterday's preliminaries,
Abby McMinn (9.31) and
Kristen Frawley (9.43) took gold and silver in the 60 meter hurdles. Each also set new personal bests with those times. McMinn is the first Messiah hurdler to win the 60 meter hurdles since Liz Martin did so in 2011.
Marie Johnson came back on day two and placed second in the triple jump. Her 36'8.5" jump was her best this year.
Christy White (34'6.75") and
Abby McMinn (33'2.5") both jumped career bests in the event, placing fourth and seventh, respectively. Johnson also tied for fifth place with
Elizabeth Cole in the high jump at 5'0.25". That height gave Cole a new PR, giving both of them Second Team All-MAC honors.
Emily Senning won another medal for the women, this one in the 800 meter run. Senning finished second with a season best time of 2:19.97, giving her Second-Team All-MAC honors.
Both of the women's relays on Saturday took sixth place. The 4x800 meter relay (
Kate Shults,
Emma Mason,
Danielle Cardone,
Emily Harpold) finished in 10:39.85, and the 4x400 (
Kayla Miller,
Holly Seipt,
Emily Senning,
Aja Cunningham) meter relay finished in 4:22.25. Both were season bests for the team.
The women's last medal came from
Rebecca Querfeld's dominating performance (2,915 points) in the pentathlon.
Brooke Maneval also had a solid performance in the multi-event, scoring 2,518 points, good for fourth place and Second-Team All-MAC honors.
Friday's ResultsRachel Robison was the highlight of day one, winning her third straight gold medal in the pole vault. Her height of 11'7.75" also broke her old school record of 11'5.75" set last season.To round out the pole vault,
Grace Riedel took second, tying her personal best height of 10'11.75", and
Megan Renes vaulted a season best 9'6.25", good for fourth place.
The other medal from tonight's action came from the womens' distance medley relay.
Kate Shults,
Kayla Miller,
Emily Senning, and
Natalie Ross finished in a time of 12:55.94, good for second place and First Team All-MAC honors.
Both
Alissa Rogers (19:00.06) and
Catherine Springer (19:29.12) ran personal bests in the 5000 meter run. Rogers' time was good for sixth place, earning Second Team All-MAC honors.
Kristen Frawley qualified for the finals in the 60 meter hurdles, setting a new career best with a time of 9.45 seconds. Teammate
Abby McMinn tied her personal best 9.48 second time. Frawley and McMinn are seeded second and third, respectively, heading into tomorrow's finals.
Kaitlyn Hostetler (17'6.25") and
Marie Johnson (17'1.25") both set new personal bests in the long jump. Hostetler's jump placed sixth, earning Second Team All-MAC honors.
