Bethlehem, PA - The men's track & field team traveled to Lehigh University to compete in the MAC Championships on Friday and Saturday. The men won seven medals throughout the weekend, and finished in third place in the team standings.

Saturday's Results
Christopher Scheib took fourth place in the mile, finishing in 4:19.04, a seven-second personal record.
Cameron Shirk ran his best time of the season in the same event, finishing in seventh with a time of 4:24.55. Also in the distance events,
Phil Headland ran a tough race in the 800 meter run, finishing in third place with a time of 1:57.02. Headland earned First-Team All-MAC with that finish.
In the finals of the 60 meter hurdles
Dane Cornelius (9.15) and
Donnell McNair (9.18) earned Second Team All-MAC, placing fifth and sixth, respectively. Also in finals,
Mark Engle ran a 7.27 in the 60 meter dash, placing sixth, also earning Second Team All-MAC honors.
Dane Cornelius (4,011),
Aaron Gray (3,897), and
Daniel Ma (3,878) took first, second, and third in the heptathlon, respectively. Cornelius only won one of the seven events, but backed that win up with solid performances in the other six. Gray and Ma set career bests with their point totals, and each earned First Team All-MAC honors.
Tim Moses took home Messiah's second gold medal of the day, vaulting a season-best 16'10" in the pole vault. This marks Moses' third-straight indoor pole vault championship, and also set a new MAC Championship meet record. Teammate
Dane Cornelius took second place (14'9") in the event, tying his personal best and also winning his second medal of the weekend.
The 4x800 meter relay team (
Christopher Scheib,
Nathaniel Pardoe,
Brandon Straley, and
Phil Headland) also won a medal for the Falcons, placing second with a time of 8:07.38. That time was a team best on the year.
Friday's Results
Bookended by the Pardoe brothers, the men's distance medley relay finished in fourth place with a time of 10:40.99. The team, comprised of
Nathaniel Pardoe,
Max Whitehead,
Derrick Peterson, and
Joshua Pardoe, earned Second Team All-MAC honors with that place. Staying with distance,
Jared Schatz took fourth in the 5000 meter run. Schatz ran a time of 15:34.67, giving him Second Team All-MAC honors.
Donnell McNair took fifth in the long jump, jumping a season best distance of 21'6". McNair also earned Second Team All-MAC honors.
Mark Engle ran a huge personal best in the 60 meter dash, finishing with a time of 7.25 seconds. That time seeds him in seventh going into tomorrow's final. Also moving on to the finals is
Donnell McNair (seventh) and
Dane Cornelius (eighth) in the 60 meter hurdles. McNair tied his season best (9.27) with his preliminary time.
The heptathlon began Friday evening, with four of the seven events taking place. After four events, here's where Messiah's men rank:
