GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Messiah men's swim team earned a split this afternoon at their double-dual meet in Gettysburg today, however they earned their first win over Susquehanna in program history. The Falcons ousted the River Hawks 150-111 but fell to the Bullets of Gettysburg 182-79.
In the first event of the day, the 200 Medley Relay, the team of
Ridge Hagar,
Nolan McArdle,
Andrew Leeper, and
Drew Wolfe placed second with a time of 1:40.38.
Hagar then finished first in the 200 Back with a time of 1:58.12.
Drew Wolfe finished in the to spot for the 200 Free with a time of 1:45.27 and
Daniel Logan came in third place with a finish time of 1:47.69.
Other notable performances from the meet are listed below:
- Liam Handley was fourth in the 100 Back with a time of 56.35.
- Andrew Leeper placed second in the 50 Free with a time of 21.95
- In the 200 Breaststroke Jeffrey Gao placed first with a finish time of 2:15.90.
- The team of Hagar, Logan, Leeper, and Wolfe took second in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:28.04.
The Falcons are back in action next weekend when they have their first meet at home in over a year in the newly renovated Fredericksen Natatorium. They are hosting Lycoming College at 1:00 p.m.
