GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah women's swim team defeated Lycoming College in their home-opening meet 155-91. The win moves the Falcons to 3-4 on the season and 3-0 in the conference.
In the mixed 200 Medley Relay, Kurtis Platteel, Nolan McArdle,
Cassie Cotton, and
Brittany Pond placed first with a time of 1:46.78. In the mixed 200 Freestyle Relay
Molly Martin, Mcardle,
Shannon Hogan, and Daniel Logan finished in first with a time of 1:39.76.
Other notable performances from the meet are listed below:
- Molly Martin placed first in the 500 Free with a time of 5:45.42 and Cassie Cotton finished first in the 50 Free with a time of 25.42.
- In the 200 IM two Messiah swimmers, Joelle Williamson (2:22.51) and Nicea McCabe (2:30.25) finished first and second respectively.
- Maelyn Elder placed first in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:00.95 and in the 200 Free with a finish time of 2:04.34.
- In the 100 Breaststroke Shannon Hogan placed first with a finish time of 1:14.24 and Nicole Clemente in third with a time of 1:17.02.
- Britta Heath swam the 1650 Free and placed first with a time of 19:06.80 and Molly Martin in second with a time of 20:19.81.
- Mikaela Schell placed first in the 100 Free swimming the race in 58.32.
The Falcons are back in action next weekend on Tuesday Nov. 28 when they host Dickinson College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
