Men's Swimming Edges Dickinson For First Time In Program History

GRANTHAM, Pa. - Messiah men's swimming took on Dickinson College for the tenth time in program history on Tuesday night, and came away with their first win in the series by a final score of 107-98. 

Ridge Hagar led the Falcons with victories in both the 100 free (49.25) and 1000 free (10:18.76). The freshman's 1000 free time places him second thus far this season in the MAC, as well as second all-time in Messiah program history.

With the win, the Falcons even their season record at 4-4.

Other notable items:
  • Drew Wolfe had a great race in the 500 free, winning with a time of 5:04.60, just 1.2 seconds ahead of Dickinson's Mitchell Reynolds
  • Nolan McArdle's time of 1:02.52 in the 100 breaststroke slots him into fourth-place in the Messiah record books
  • Andrew Leeper won the 100 backstroke with a time of 56:04, placing him in fifth-place in program history
  • Eli McCabe and James Chopka both set personal best times in back-to-back events, the 100 butterfly and 100 free

The Falcons return to action this weekend at the Washington & Lee Invite in Lexington, Va. The meet extends over both Saturday and Sunday, with start times for each day TBD.
