GRANTHAM, Pa. - Messiah women's swimming battled to the end but came up just short against local rival Dickinson on Tuesday night, 106-98.

Cassie Cotton led the Falcons with victories in both the 100 free (55.38) and 200 free (2:03.02). Those times rank third and ninth, respectively, in the conference. She also swam the first leg of Messiah's victory in the 200 free relay and the third leg of the Falcon win in the 200 medley relay.

Other noteworthy items:
  • Maelyn Elder came out on top in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:18.65
  • Joelle Williamson won the 100 backstroke by nearly five seconds with a time of 1:01.95, a mark that places her fifth all-time in program history
  • Britta Heath recorded the fifth-best time in Messiah history in the 1000 free, coming in with a time of 11:35.11

Messiah will next travel to Lexington, Va. for the Washington & Lee Invite this weekend. The invite is spread out over Saturday and Sunday, with start times on each day TBD.
