Messiah Splits In Double-Dual Meet

CHESTER, Pa. – The Messiah men's swim team split in their double-dual meet at Widener University this afternoon. They fell to the Pride by a score of  144-117, but then defeated Hood College 195-52.
 
In the 200 Medley Relay the team of Ridge Hagar, Jeffrey Gao, Andrew Leeper, and Drew Wolfe finished in second place with a time of 1:39.92.
 
The team of Wolfe, Daniel Logan, Hager, and Leeper came in second place in the 400 Free Relay with a finish time of 3:16.38.
 
Other notable finishes for the men are listed below:
  • Drew Wolfe swam well in the 200 Free coming in first place with a time of 1:46.60. He also finished in first place in the 500 Free with a time of 4:55.61.
  • In the 100 Backstroke, Kurtis Platteel took the top spot with a finish time of 56.26 and teammate Liam Handley wasn't far behind finishing second with a time of 57.69.
  • Nolan McArdle came in second in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:02.62 and Jeffrey Gao in third with a 1:02.98 finish time. McArdle then finished in first place in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.87.
  • Ridge Hagar finished first in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:03.67.
 
The Falcons are back in action next Saturday Nov. 11 when they travel to Gettysburg for a double-dual with the Bullets and Susquehanna River Hawks. Meet time is set for 1:00 p.m.
