Grantham, PA – Messiah senior Tim Moses is set to compete the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships this Friday, Mar. 10 in Naperville, Ill. Moses, a six-time All-American in the pole vault, will begin his event at 10:00 a.m. CST.

Live stats and video are linked above, with a snapshot preview below.

What to Know: Tim Moses

Moses is in his final year with Messiah and only Chris Boyles has more All-American honors (7) in Messiah's men's track & field history. Boyles also has the only men's National Championship to his credit (Decathlon, 2002) so Moses, for all intents and purposes, has only a legend up front. Nevertheless, Moses has himself put together a career that can only be described as impressive. Among his six All-American awards in the pole vault is a National Runner-Up finish at the Indoor Championships in 2014-15, and he's been top-four in all but his first two Championships appearances during his freshman campaign.

Last season Moses took fourth at the Indoor Championships with a jump of 16'4.75." This season Moses is ranked No. 4 in the nation with a mark of 16'6.75."

Moses' career-best indoor jump came at the 2014-15 National Championships when he cleared 17'2.75."

What to Know: The Competition

When looking at the field, one should look at the top—that is to say, the very top, where four-time Division III National Champion Luke Winder of North Central is once again the favorite. His mark of 17'11" leads the nation and also more than a foot better than his closest competition. There's no doubt he's the cream of the crop, and he's just a junior.

In the No. 2 slot is Andrew Bartnett of Johns Hopkins. Like Moses, he's a senior and has been a familiar face at the Championships from the start of his career. His mark of 16'10.75" is just ahead of No. 3-ranked Dan Evers of Monmouth (16'8.75"). This is Evers' second Indoor Championships appearance and he's in search of his third All-American finish.

Behind No. 4 Moses is a host of competitors with impressive—and close—marks. True to that point: three vaulters—Ron Helderman, Matthew Dywer, and Everett Kleven—are all tied in the No. 5 spot with a clearance of 16'5.25" which will undoubtedly create much intrigue for the final performances.

After the fifth-best mark, there are 11 more vaulters who have reached the 16'0" mark.
