Chester, PA - The Messiah College men's and women's track teams traveled to Widener University over the weekend to compete in the 2017 Danny Curran Invitational.
Messiah had a very strong showing in both days of the meet and had many top 10 finishes.
Christian Pavlovich not only set a personal record but also a school record in the javelin with a throw of 61.84m. This throw was good enough for second place, but was first among all NCAA throwers. Not only that, but Pavlovich's mark put him at No. 4 across all of NCAA Division III and all but guarantees him a return trip the NCAA Championships in May.
Natalie Ross won the 5000 meter race for the Falcons as well as setting a personal record with a time of 18:23.63.
Tim Moses once again dominated the men's pole vault with a mark of 5.05m, good enough for first place.

Other notable performances from the men include:
- Dane Cornelius finished second in pole vault (4.50m).
- Max Whitehead finished fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.35.
- Donnell McNair finished fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.38.
- Brett Garbrick placed fifth in the pole vault (4.05m).
- Aaron Gray placed seventh and set a personal record in the discus with a throw of 36.69m.
