OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Messiah women's swim team defeated Stevenson University this afternoon on the road 133-103. A strong team performance overall and their were some great individual performances as well. In the first event of the day, the 200 Medley Relay, the team of
Kaylee Hollenbach,
Shannon Hogan,
Cassie Cotton, and
Brittany Pond finished second with a time of 1:54.46. The team of
Joelle Williamson,
Nicea McCabe,
Nicole Clemente, and
Mikaela Schell finished right behind in third with a time of 155.68.
Mesisah is now 5-6 on the year and 5-1 in conference and will face Wilkes University on Jan. 20 at home with a meet time set for 1:00 p.m.
Other notable performances from the meet:
- Mikaela Schell placed third in the 200 Free with a time of 2:10.07.
- In the 100 Back, Joelle Williamson came in first place with a time of 1:02.11.
- Molly Martin placed second in the 100 Breast with a finish time of 1:14.97 and teammate Elder was not far behind in third with a time of 1:15.53.
- Cassie Cotton placed first in the 200 Fly with a finish time of 2:15.48.
- Schell swam well in the 50 Free with a time of 26.69 and Holly Hagar came in third with a time of 27.36.
- In the 200 Back, Hollenbach placed first with a time of 2:12.92 and Martin in second with a time of 2:21.48.
- Sarah Woods competed in the 200 Breast and placed second with a finish time of 2:41.22, while in the 500 Free Britta Heath placed first with a time of 5:43.86.
