SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Messiah men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the Orange and Maroon Classic last night hosted by Susquehanna University. Both teams competed well and garnered some strong individual performances.
They compete next on Jan. 26-27 at the Bison Open in Lewisburg, Pa.

Women:
- Alyssa McMinn placed seventh in the weight throw with a mark of 11.99m. She then finished third in the shot put with a throw of 10.97m.
- In the women's high jump, Elizabeth Cole came in second place with a jump of 1.52m.
- Kristen Frawley ran in the 60 meter hurdles and finished third with a time of 9.52 seconds.
- In the one-mile run, Mikayla Lewin ran a time of 5:46.82 for seventh place.
- Kayla Miller competed in the 400-meter dash and finished fifth with a time of 1:05.03.
- In the 3000-meter run, Elizabeth Lelonek (11:39.07) and Rachel Sehon (11:40.37) finished in fourth and fifth respectively.
Men:
- Erik Dyrli finished sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 12.63m.
- In the men's long jump, Benjamin Danso placed seventh with a jump of 6.09m. He also placed third in the high jump with a mark of 1.93m while teammate Donnell McNair jumped 1.88m for fourth place.
- Aaron Gray competed in the pole vault and hit a mark of 3.65m to finish in sixth place. He then ran in the 60-meter hurdles and placed second with a time of 9.07 seconds.
- In the men's one-mile run Benjamin Schott ran a time of 4:33.59 for second place finishing behind unattached runner Scott McGeary.
- The Falcons took a top-three sweep in the 800-meter run with Matthew Royer (1:59.13), Alex Scheib (2:02.17), and Derrick Peterson (2:05.47) finishing in first, second, and third respectively.
- Olufemi Obadina ran in the 200-meter dash and finished fifth with a time of 24.61 seconds.
- In the 3000-meter run Kirk Mummert placed second with a time of 9:12.39 and Kyler Shea was right behind in third place with a time of 9:12.48.
