KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Tuesday afternoon the United Soccer Coaches (USC) named Messiah goalkeeper Connor Bell the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Bell earned a pair of shutouts last week to help the Falcons claim their 17th MAC Commonwealth Championship in program history.
 
Bell logged 200 minutes between the pipes in the semifinals and final last week, making two saves during regulation. His heroics came in the MAC Commonwealth Championship as the senior made a diving save to his right with the Falcons leading 3-1 in a penalty kick shootout following 110 minutes of scoreless soccer.
 
Bell's save propelled the Falcons to the Conference Title and earned him MAC Commonwealth Championship MVP honors.
 
On the season, Bell owns a 16-0-3 overall record holds a 0.49 goals against average on the season.
 
Bell and the Falcons will host the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Tournament this weekend when Baruch, Johns Hopkins, and Washington & Lee come to Grantham for matches beginning on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11:30 a.m.
