GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah women's swim team earned a sweep this afternoon in their double-dual against Albright College and Misericordia University. They defeated the Lions by a score of 163-93 and then the Cougars 185-62. Strong team effort overall and some great individual performances led to today's wins.
Joelle Williamson had a strong day taking first in the 100 and 200 backstroke, the 400 medley relay, and then finished second in the 200 IM.
The Falcons are now 9-6 overall and 9-1 in the conference. They have a week off before competing in MAC Championships that are being held February 15-18 in York, Pa.

- In the 400 Medley Relay, Joelle Williamson, Nicea McCabe, Cassie Cotton, and Mikaela Schell placed first with a time of 4:09.88.
- Britta Heath won the 1000 Free with a finish time of 11:25.45.
- Messiah took the top two spots in the 200 as Cassie Cotton (2:02.19) and Brittany Pond (2:05.17) finished first and second respectively.
- Nicea McCabe placed first in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:13.51 and Sarah Woods wasn't far behind in second with a time of 1:13.96.
- Cotton took another first-place spot in the 100 Free with a time of 55.30 and then earned a fourth first-place finish in the 100 Fly with a time of 59.65.
- In the 200 Breaststroke, Woods placed first with a time of 2:42.60 and Shannon Hogan finished second with a time of 2:43.49.
