YORK, Pa. - The Messiah track & field teams competed at York College today and there were some strong performances overall by both teams, particularly the women who ranked second overall out of 18 events scored with 94.5 points behind Millersville (126 points). The men finished ranked fifth with 66 total points.
The women had multiple athletes place first in their respective events including
Leanne Weaver who finished first in the women's 400 meter dash with a time of 59.67 and placed first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.39.
Rachael Romain competed in the high jump and placed overall with a mark of 1.50m, and
Megan Renes finished first in the pole vault with a mark of 2.90m.
On the men's side
Donnell McNair finished first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.83,
Benjamin Danso placed first in the high jump with a mark of 1.93m.
The Falcons next compete on Friday when some athletes travel to Widener University for the Danny Curran 10k Invitational with the race set to start at 5:00 p.m.

Women
- In the 200 meter dash Rebecca Crosley finished seventh with a time of 27.69 seconds.
- Kelsie Kennedy placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.06.
- Mikayla Lewin competed in the 1500 meter run and placed eighth with a time of 5:13.75.
- Sarah Codd finished ninth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:48.49.
- Kristen Frawley placed second in the 100 meter hurdles with a finish time of 15.29 seconds.
- In the shot put Alyssa McMinn threw a mark of 11.22m for a second place finish.
Men
- Alex Scheib ran the 800 meter run and finished second with a time of 1:57.12. Derrick Peterson placed eighth with a finish time of 2:02.84.
- Tyler McFeaters placed third in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:07.09.
- In the 110 meter hurdles, Donnell McNair finished fifth with a finish time of 16.40 seconds.
- Benjamin Danso finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.13m.
- In the triple jump Brendan Provan competed at finished second with a jump of 12.61m.
- Aaron Gray finished seventh in the men's javelin with a mark of 42.70m.
