Pavlovich Shines on Day Two of Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. - The Messiah men's track & field teams competed in day two of the Danny Curran Invitational today and Christian Pavlovich put forth a very strong performance and broke his javelin school record. Pavlovich threw a mark of 64.27 (210'10'') winning the event and bettering his previously-held record of 202'11'' set last season. Historically this mark will qualify him for the NCAA Division III Nationals in May and he is currently seeded third nationally in the javelin. 

Benjamin Schott placed sixth in the very strong 5k field in a time of 15:02.35, moving to fifth all time on Messiah's 5k record list.

The Falcons are next in action on Saturday Apr. 7 when they travel Millersville and the meet time is set for 9:00 a.m.

Women 10k Men 10k
  • Kirk Mummert had a good run placing second overall with a time of 32:22 and that time places him in tenth on the program record list for the 10k.
  • Kyler Shea wasn't far behind in third with a finish time of 32:23.71.
  • Nate Romberger (32.24.25) and Zachary Lofties (32:43.16) finished fourth and fifth respetively. 
  • Kaleb Burch came in ninth with a time of 34:18.74 and Eric Delinger in 14th with a time of 34:54.06
