SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Falcons completed their regular season competition today at Susquehanna and had numerous athletes qualify for nex week's MAC Championship.
On The Track
Kathryn Wiederrecht started off the day with a 8.21 second 60m dash, good for eight-place.
Kiera Wells (8.52) and
Ellie Longshaw (8.62) also competed in the 60m, finishing in 17th-place and 24th-place, respectively.
Longshaw also competed in the 200m dash, finishing in 11th-place.
Rebecca Crosley came across the line in the 200m in 29.22 seconds, good for 14th-place.
In the 400m, Crosley highlighted the Falcons' efforts, running a 1:03.21 to take second-place.
Brieanna Hess (1:05.36) and
Emma Johnsen (1:05.50) battled their way to the finish, both putting up MAC qualifying times while finishing in 10th-place and 12th-place, respectively.
Mikayla Lewin led the Falcons in the 800m, running a 2:29.00 to take 13th-place and qualify for next weeks MAC Championships.
Catherine Arke (2:39.83) and
Rachel Grundusky (2:44.46) also competed in the 800m.
Emma Fertig (5:51.33),
Sarah Blessing (6:00.72), and
Rachel Sehon (6:16.76) competed in the mile, finishing in 12th-place, 19th-place, and 2th-place, respectively.
Leigha Southall highlighted the Falcons' performance in the 3,000m, finishing in first-place after running a 10:54.05 to qualify for MAC's.
Ally Austen came through the line next for Messiah, running the 3,000m in 12:08.53 to take 13th-place.
Ally Bishop rounded out the Falcons' efforts, coming through the line in 12:34.94, finishing in 16th-place.
In the 5,000m,
Cera Gaston led the way for Messiah, finishing in second-place with a MAC qualifying timie of 19:55.41.
Danielle Cardone (20:19.14) and
Elise Davenport (20:30.38) also put up MAC qualifying times, finishing in seventh-place and 10th-place, respectively.
In the 60m hurdles,
Kathryn Wiederrecht took eighth-place with a 9.89.
Kiera Wells took 17th-place with a time of 10.58. Both Wiederrecht and Wells' times qualify them for the MAC Championship.
In The Field
Emily Gourley finished in eighth-place in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.45m. Gourley's clearance has her qualified for next weekend's MAC Championship.
Julia Gesheimer jumped a mark of 4.33m in the long jump to finish in 21st-place.
Alyssa McMinn threw 11.74m in the shot put to finish in fourth-place.
Lila Goodhile threw 10.19m to take 10th-place.
In the weight throw,
Alyssa McMinn threw 13.89m, finishing the day in fifth-place.
Sarah Reed qualified in the weight throw after putting up a mark of 9.57m.

The Falcons are all done with regular season and are set to battle for the MAC Championship on Feb. 22-23.
