McMinn Sets Program Record To Highlight Falcons' Efforts

PRINCETON, NJ - Alyssa McMinn highlighted the Falcons' efforts at the Larry Ellis Invitational after throwing 45.86m to set a new program record. Esther Seeland also performed well for that Falcons, running a 2:11.25 in the 800m. Danielle Cardone and Sarah Codd represented the Falcons at the Widener Invitational in the 5,000m.

In The Results
Esther Seeland got things started for the Falcons at Princeton University. Seeland came through the first lap in seventh place with a 1:05.17 split but ran a 1:06.09 on her last lap to finish first in her heat with a time of 2:11.25. Seeland's time will unofficially put her in third place in NCAA Division III.

After fouling her first two throws, Alyssa McMinn let one fly and threw 45.86m, setting a new program record by nearly 10ft. McMinn's throw will place her unofficially at fourth in NCAA Division III.

At Widener, Sarah Codd highlighted the Falcons' efforts in the 5,000m as she came through the line in 18:41.02 to take ninth place overall. Danielle Cardone rounded out Messiah's performance with a 19:41.63, good for 25th place.

The Falcons will get ready for Penn Relays and the Paul Kaiser Invitational at Shippensburg next weekend.
