GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Messiah women's swimming team won eight of 11 events contested on Friday evening to claim a pair of dual victories in runaway fashion. The Falcons triumphed 122-63 over Stevenson University in a conference dual while also running away from the Immaculata Mighty Macs by a final score of 144-36.

Messiah earned the top-two spots in the 200 Medley Relay, with the team of
Nicea McCabe,
Katelyn Boyce,
Nancie Ziegler, and
Emily Griesemer winning the event in a time of 2:00.63, to kick off the night. The Falcons then proceeded to win six of the nine individual events with
Katelyn Boyce leading the effort with a pair of victories in the 500 Free (5:33.63) and 100 Breast (1:13.96). Boyce was one of five Falcons to win an individual event, but the only to claim multiple victories on the evening.

The Falcons capped off their night with a win in the final event of the night, the 200 Free Relay. The team of Griesemer,
Molly Elspas,
Rachel Bruns, and McCabe finished in a time of 1:47.68.

As mentioned, the Falcons' night started off with a bang. Just behind the team of McCabe, Boyce, Ziegler, and Griesemer was the squad of
Nicole Lee,
Alley Sell,
Ella Sobek, and
Abby Fontana, finishing in second place with a time of 2:03.95 in the 200 Medley Relay.

After the opening relay, Stevenson's Melanie Milam won the first of her two victories of the night in the 1000 Free with a mark of 11:12.11. Milam showed her versatility just a few minutes later, winning the 50 Free (26.04).

Following Milam in the 1000 Free were a pair of Falcons, with
Nicole Lee (12:19.42) and
Ella Sobek (12:47.78) finishing in second and third- place, respectively. Lee also earned a top-three finish in the 50 Free, taking third-place in a time of 27.32. Teammate
Nancie Ziegler touched in second in the 50 Free, getting to the wall in 26.63.

Alley Sell was the first Falcon to earn an individual victory, winning the 200 Free in a time of 2:09.18.
Abby Fontana took third-place in the same event, finishing in 2:19.16. Sell also earned a second-place finish in the 100 Free, getting to the wall in 59.78, just under two seconds behind
Nancie Ziegler's winning time of 58.18.

Rachel Bruns won the 200 IM in a time of 2:22.37, nearly 10 seconds ahead of second place while also earning a second-place finish in the 500 Free. Bruns' time of 5:48.20 trailed only Boyce's winning time of 5:33.63.

Nicea McCabe was the other winner for Messiah, claiming the 100 Back by just over half a second in a time of 1:03.31.

Molly Elspas earned a pair of top-three finishes on Friday night, taking second in the 100 Fly (1:06.77) and third in the 100 Breast (1:17.37).

Earlier on Friday, Messiah's dual against Stevens scheduled for Saturday was canceled due to the impending winter weather. As a result, the Falcons will be back in action next Saturday, Jan. 25 when they host the York Spartans and Lebanon Valley Dutchmen at 1:00 p.m.
