Messiah Destroys Lycoming

The Messiah women's swimming team took down Lycoming easily today, winning 190-52. The Falcons had plenty of contributors on a day where Messiah won most of the events. The Falcons are back in action on November 19, when they travel to Gettysburg.
 
Messiah defeats Lycoming 190-52
Messiah beat Lycoming 190-52, with Messiah winning all but two events. In the first event of the day, the 200 Medley Relay team of Sophie Schulze, Lauren Cotton, Katelyn Boyce and Abigail Soerens edged out their teammates completing the relay in a time of 1:59:31.
 
Lauren Mock beat out teammate Megan Duffey in the 1000 Free event, clocking in with a time of 11:49.88. Mock would later also win the 500 Free event with a time of 5:39.70.
 
Marie Hagemaster was the next Messiah winner, winning the 200 Free event with a 2:05.20 time. Rachel Bruns was right behind her at 2:05.89.
 
Sophie Schulze won the 100 Backstroke event with a time of 1:03.33. Schulze later won the 200 Backstroke event as well, finishing with a time of 2:20.88. This was eight seconds faster than second place finisher Libby Gorske.
 
Katelyn Boyce won the 200 Fly event beating out teammate Emma Pequignot by over six seconds. Boyce finished at 2:21.60. In the 200 Breaststroke event, Boyce won with a time of 2:38.76. Boyce also won the 400 IM event for her third win on the afternoon, timing in at 4:51.73.
 
Erin Goudie won the 50 Free event with a time of 26.31. In the 100 Free event, Lainey Flanagan won with a time of 57.52. Goudie also won the 100 Fly event with a time of 1:01.70.
 
Through 28 events, Messiah dominated the Warriors to move to 5-0 on the year.
