Men's & Women's Soccer Decorated With All-Region Nods

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches Announced its 2021 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's All-Region teams on Monday afternoon as a total of 10 Messiah Falcons were honored with All-Region accolades. Kayla Herr of women's soccer's claimed a First Team nod as Matt McDonald, Luke Brautigam, Trevor Goodling, Jake Lent-Koop, and Jared Pavlovich of men's soccer earned First Team honors as well.
 
Earning Second Team nods were Kenzie Spodnik and Jenna Skurcenski of women's soccer as teammates Shelby Burger and Lydia Watkins claimed Third Team honors.
 
For men's soccer, the First Team All-Region honorees were all members of the All-MAC Commonwealth team. The Falcons, who claimed the 2021 MAC Commonwealth Championship and made a momentous run to the Elite Eight, are further decorated with the announcement of the All-Region squads. Goodling earnes his second All-Region accolade after claiming a spot on the Second Team during the 2019 season.
 
Women's soccer had a total of five All-Region representatives, headlined by a First Team nod to Herr, the reigning MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year. Spodnik, Skurcenski, Burger, and Watkins all made lasting contributions to the Falcons' conference championship-clinching campaign. All five representatives earn their first All-Region selection as all five also landed on the All-MAC Commonwealth team.
